Dojo Closings

The dojo closes for the following holidays and weekends:

New Year’s Eve

New Year’s Day

Memorial Day Weekend

July 4^th Weekend

Labor Day Weekend

Thanksgiving Day

Christmas Eve

Christmas Day

If your regularly scheduled class falls on one of these holidays simply make up the class on any day of the week prior, during, or after the holiday. If and when you are in doubt simply: call, leave a message, or check our web site.

Vacations

If you go away for vacation please attend a make up class(es) prior to or after your vacation. Please do not ask for credit and do not miss a summer tuition payment. If everyone takes off for the summer, the dojo cannot pay its bills, we go "in the red", and we close the school. Consider the following: The dojo stays open because we pay the gas and electric bills, water bill, phone bill, taxes, mortgage, advertising, insurance, and miscellaneous bills. If we don’t receive tuition payments in the summer and do not pay the bills in the summer, we go bankrupt. You the students, pay the bills. The lessons are essentially free.

Tuition Due Date

Tuition is to be paid during the last week of each month, before the 30^th, so we can pay our bills on time before the first of each month. At the Budokan, for your budgeting convenience, tuition is paid monthly not yearly. Missing a month or two per year is not only an inconvenience for the dojo, it is a financial drain and hardship. When you are late with your tuition, the dojo is late with its bills. The dojo gets charged a late fee or an increased interest fee every time its late. Please be considerate
