Okay, so you've taken the first steps towards building your own site at Spaceports. You
have filled in the application form and received the email with your password and FTP details, and
now you realise that you don't really have the first clue about how to use all the goodies they
offer.
The 14 days you are given to get at least one page on your site suddenly seems to be a daunting
task.
Fear not, because this section will lead you through the steps needed to get a basic page
uploaded, while you figure out exactly what you want to do with all that space.
I don't intend to try and teach you HTML, as that topic is not specific to Spaceports. If
you want to move on to that after you've read through these pages, I have a basic HTML tutorial at
www.webwysardry.com
To complete this section, as well as a Web site at Spaceports, you will need at least the
following:-
- A browser (if you're reading this you have one)
- The confirmation email from Spaceports
- A text editor, such as NotePad
Depending which browser you have and/or your own personal tastes, you may also need an FTP
program.
If you're not sure which editor or FTP program to use, don't worry as I give a few pointers as
we go.
