A child of India, Maya was recognized by the
priests as the reincarnation of one of the Hindu pantheon.
Because her parents tried sought to have her fulfill her
spiritual destiny, Maya fled to the Justice League
International stationed in Europe. Maya joined the JLI
on a few adventures while coming to terms with her powers.
When the JLI disbanded, she willingly returned to her parents
after they promised to let her choose the path of her own
destiny.
Maya wielded far-reaching mystical powers.
She could form an energy bow that could fire bolts of energy.
She at times also manifested increasingly more powerful
abilities such as command over water.
