Finally made the jump from Microsoft Frontpage to Expression Web. For the extent of my Web skills, it's not much of an upgrade in tools for me. In fact, there are some nifty web-bot gadgets that FP had that was not carried over to Expression that I miss. I do eventually want to get to more .ASP data-driven stuff, but, being the non-techie and given the coin needed for servers and such, that's a long way from now.
In the meantime, I'm working on restarting the
remix of this site that started then stumbled almost two years ago. (Other things in life had taken priority.) I finally got the Hall of Justice Home Page laid out the way I envisioned. The next task is making over the landing pages for each section and pruning old (primarily Morrison Era-focused) content. (I can't believe that this site's been up for a decade!)
One of the significant changes for the JLA Watchtower remix project is re-defining this Monitor Womb section from a redundant "news and announcements" space to this blog-style "Webmaster Commentary" journal for site updates and future plans. In some ways, this will be my running list of to-do items for this site. One of which is to rework and update the Roll Call section as well as update the team's History in Case Files, considering the "New Earth" Post-
Infinite Crisis status quo. The other things nagging me is how to handle the Data Central/JLA-Z/Glossary section and how that content weaves throughout the site and whether or not I should keep the multi-level nav bar at the top of each page or remove it altogether like it is on this blog. Finally, I'm changing the search engine from FreeFind to Google.
This is gonna be fun.
